HMC Farm's methods of sustainable and organic farming continuously evolve to ensure that our people, land, and resources are protected. To conserve one of their most precious resources, they have adapted to new ways of efficiently using water, shifting techniques from flood to precision irrigation. They also monitor the moisture in their soil to ensure that their trees and vines get just the right amount of water to thrive.They protect our land through a multi-faceted approach using integrated pest management and lab analyses of soil & tissue samples. They also employ regenerative agricultural practices, such as cover crops and compost application, to maintain healthy soil for our trees and vines. HMC Farms is the one of the largest adopters of solar power in the industry, with enough solar panels to generate more than 3 megawatts of renewable solar energy using the abundance of bright sunshine in the Central Valley.
