Carnation Farms is a certified organic farm which operates as a nonprofit organization with a mission to transform the way that people want to eat. They celebrate delicious and nutritious food produced in a sustainable manner by providing inspirational and educational experiences that positively affect the health, the environment, and local economies. They develop the next generation of food citizens and grow new farmers.

They are Certified Organic. This is an important designation for them as it provides third party objectivity and transparency. They plan for and execute crop diversity. They save seed to responsibly grow future healthy crops. They plant cover crops to prevent soil erosion and to protect soil microbial communities. They improve soil health through cover-cropping, green manures, and timely tillage. They manage their livestock health through optimal nutrition, low stress, and best practice animal husbandry methods. They are enhancing wildlife and pollinator habitat (Game Preserve designation since 1974; Salmon-Safe certified). They host restoration projects to increase health of their riparian and river bank areas.
